In 2022 the Friends paid for the relining of the Library and Saloon curtains.
Phase 3 of the Hylands House restoration started in 1998 and included the Library, Saloon and the Drawing Room. To complete the rooms curtains were made and installed by a local upholster Marie Stacey. The library has a beautiful outlook onto the front of Hylands House but is exposed to sun (when the sun is out!). After many years of sun damage the linings to the curtains started to disintegrate. Over 20 years later, Marie Stacey Interiors were employed to repair and reline the curtains.
